Karen Huger Calls Stacey Rusch “AI” on Watch What Happens Live: “I Don't Know Whether I'm Getting AI or Stacey”

Karen Huger watched Stacey Rusch deliver the biggest news of the Potomac premiere — that Tia Glover's husband Rob was on dating apps — at a table, on camera, in front of the group. On Watch What Happens Live after the episode, Karen said plainly what she thought of how it went down, and she questioned whether the Stacey doing it was even Stacey at all.

“For Me, It Was the AI Stacey of It All”

Karen's problem was the delivery. “The delivery of it all … should've been different,” she said. “It should've been a phone call or not at all, not at a table with other people on camera.”

Then came the line. “For me, it was the AI Stacey of it all,” Karen said. “I'm not sure that was Stacey sitting there. And I don't dislike Stacey… I just don't know whether I'm getting AI or Stacey.”

Read it for what it is: Karen was not saying Stacey made the story up. She was saying the woman who brought life-changing news to a friend's table, with cameras rolling, did not feel like the real Stacey to her — more like a version performing for the moment.

Gizelle Should Have Made the Call Herself

Karen also put part of this on Gizelle Bryant. Gizelle knew about Rob and the apps before Stacey said a word at that table, and Karen said Gizelle should have gone straight to Tia with it, in private. Asked if that was because of their friendship, Karen did not pause: “I certainly do because they have a relationship, an established relationship.”

Karen and Gizelle have their own storm coming this season — the trailer teased it, and Karen did not hide from it on WWHL. She called their face-off “painful.”

“It's a very painful scene for me to even be a part of,” she said, “but I'll say, I don't carry baggage I didn't pack, so stay tuned.”

She did have one kind word in that direction: asked about Gizelle being picked to represent Potomac on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, Karen said, “She did a great job.”

Still Working on the Marriage

Karen also gave an update on home. She came back from her time away a changed woman, and she said she and Ray are “still working” on their marriage.

“I've been married 29, well, 30 years if we make it, and I certainly came home a different woman, and I'm well,” she said. Her biggest lesson from the past year, she said, was “to be accountable.” She said she does not regret turning down a plea deal, because she “wouldn't have been as accountable,” and she summed up where she is now in one line: “I'm free, and I'm happy and healthy.”

And on Wendy and Eddie Osefo hiring separate legal teams for their case, Karen kept it to three words: “Prayers go up.”
